Fall 2015, this project was for an 1885 corset and bustle.
During 2013, design and create a waistcoat with hand embroidery techniques. Research of a double-breasted waistcoat conjoined with an 18th century waistcoat. drawing came first then moved onto draping a shape on a dress form. Pin striping added as extra bonus technique to the back of the waistcoat. Below are pictures of the process.
In 2013, seminar detailing the proper handling, upkeep, and styling of wigs for the stage and film. Created a wig for a model, based on a film design, Kirsten Dunst's Marie Antoinette. A wig piece was used by adding steam and curlers to achieve the look. Below are pictures of the process as well as reusing the wig piece for another design.
In 2013, seminar for mini-waistcoats. These are 1/4th scale models to learn proper waistcoat sewing techniques and learn lines of period waistcoats. An intense one-week seminar creating beautiful, clean work. Below are pictures of the work.
